After Wilbur, we decided to move away from Youngstown and found a beautiful house up in Windsor, Ohio. It came with a six-acre forest and we thought it was our forever home.

We started hating it there.

The house had a bad septic system and sewer gas flooded the house. The bedroom was unlivable until we got the whole thing fixed. We had to take showers at the Pilot truck stop until it was fixed.

The forest (and yard) turned out to be a swamp. Any rain meant standing water in the yard, and knee-deep mud throughout the forest.

The neighbors were terrible, most never said a word to us, and the one next door was this guy that called himself the 'puzzle man' who built a berm so he could shoot across our land any time he wanted. He would sneak around the forest at night. Everyone was cold, like the wrong kind of country living. The previous owners threatened to back out of the sale if we didn't write a letter about how much we liked the place; and after we moved in they kept sending their friends over to try to get us to change churches; sometimes in the middle of the night.

We couldn't wait to get out of there.

Windsor Videos

When we decided to sell our house, we made a few videos highlighting the house and land. The indoor one is set to music and turned out pretty good. In other ones you hear the sounds of the outdoors.
